Why take part?

1) By taking part, you'll be helping homeless people.

The cost-of-living crisis is pushing more and more people into homelessness, with rising prices forcing people who have never slept rough before onto the streets for the first time.

The money you raise will help to fund projects that provide life-changing advice and support to homeless people in London, empowering them to move on and make a fresh start away from the street.

2) You'll experience the best of London at night!

The routes take in many of the capital's best-known sights, so you'll have the chance to experience the best of London after dark. Highlights along the way include Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, St Paul's Cathedral, The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, The Gherkin, The Shard and many more of the city's highlights. How often would you have the chance to see all of those at once?!

You’ll be taking part in a group - it’s a unique night out with friends, family or colleagues while making a difference too.

You'll be starting the walk in the early evening, enjoying the sunset as you go. The route includes stretches along the river and parks, so you'll have a chance to see some of the best of London in the twilight. You'll then finish the event in the dark, for the full night-walk experience.

3) You can make it your challenge.

You can choose to walk either a half-marathon (13.1 miles), or 9.5. miles if that’s more manageable for you. Make it more of a challenge if you like by aiming for a set time or doing it in fancy dress – you can get creative and make it your own!

Best of all, by taking part in the Night Walk, you'll be helping more people get the support they need to find secure housing and escape homelessness for good.
